I like it !!
It's ok. Needs to get rid of the daft start button tiles though. And the start menu seems less attractive than before. Have had some glitches I've asked about here. Prefer 7 if I'm being honest.
Oh one thing. It's set up to grab all sorts of data and tries to control when you update. From that point of view it is absolutely horrendous and unacceptable. The settings are so large you can find things to clear but have no idea what the knock on effects will be. From a Big Brother controlling/nosing at YOUR PC point of view, it's absoluely awful.

I forgot to mention that above. Was wondering if you accidentally typed an 'r' when you intended an 'h'.
It depends if you mean buying a new PC with Windows 10 on it, or upgrading to Windows 10 from Windows 7 or 8.

If you buy a new PC you dont have much choice, but if you are on Windows 7 stay on it as it is one of the best versions of Windows.

If you are on windows 8 then go up to Windows 10 as 8 was probably one of the worst version of Windows ever.
if you install it right its pretty good. A custom install is essential so you can turn off all the communications stuff that OG is having issues with and tailor it to your needs. The menu tiles can be deleted or changed to things you use regularly. Its not great on updating drivers during installation so you have to go over that manually. Sometimes you need to reinstall your printer. if you have really old programs they might take some compatibility fiddling. If you decide to do it make sure, as with all significant upgrades, backup all your personal stuff first including bookmarks / favourites and game files.
no problems with 10 i like it,
old gezzer have you a nephew or someone to show you how to set win10 up so it suits you,it so easy to do you can get rid of the tiles, just click on and delete there not being deleted from the comp just the desk top
No nephew who is more tech savvy than myself.

I now see one can right click on the tiles now and unpin them. Don't see delete. And I'm certain one can not control downloads within settings since I initially had to turn the service right off. I have since found some .reg files that can hopefully turn it off and on in the registry as a less complex solution. Still lost the windows.old having never given permission or issued a request for it.
Yay !!!!
No tiles !
To delete tiles - close browser - drag tiles onto desktop then the right click menu includes delete
Computer Active magazine ran a feature on turning off all the data grabbing/privacy violating settings. It's a big feature!
Errr - how would I find out what windows I'm on. it is either 7 or 8 I think
control panel .....system ...it will tell you there what windows you have
Fully agree with VHG when they said

I upgraded to windows 10 and thank the lord I had the option to revert to my original operating system. . . . . its a personal opinion but I would not go near any windows 10 upgrade and am dreading the time when inevitably I have to move to a new operating system.
And another thing . . you know when QVC are selling

"Ezway Learn Windows 10 Personal Tutor DVD"

there must be a problem.

If the system was is so intuitive it should be user friendly, and not need a bloody DVD tutorial to explain how to use it !!!!

Sorry that was a bit of a rant and no harm was intended when writing this reply
