I received an email with attachment in PDF file. When I tried to open a PDF -file, it displays an error message that says: "Error format: PDF format is not correct, or the file is corrupted"
Then I tried to open my .pdf other tools for .pdf files, but they showed once again that same error message.
There is an option to solve this problem?

Try saving the file to your hard drive first and then opening it from there (rather than directly from your email).

If you still can't open it in your default pdf reader (such as Adobe Reader), try installing Sumatra PDF and opening it with that:
http://www.sumatrapdfreader.org/free-pdf-reader.html

If Sumatra PDF can't open it from your hard drive then the file is definitely corrupted and you'll need to seek a fresh copy from your email correspondent.
What are you using to open the pdf file?

If it is Adobe Reader then uninstall it (do a reboot) then download and reinstall it.

You can get it from here

Moderator's note:
This site gets a lot of spam from new users seeking to promote products which claim to fix corrupted files (with pdf, dbx and pst formats being the most common to be mentioned). If this question is followed by a 'conveniently helpful' answer from another new user, providing a link to such a product, I'll simply delete the thread.
1. Open your Web browser and go to PDF Tools (see Resources). Press "Enter" and wait for the website to load.
2. Click the "Choose File" button. Select the corrupted PDF file in the prompt that appears, then click "Open." Click the button that says "Load PDF."
3. Select the check box that says "Recover pages" in the next section. Click the button that says "Execute."
4. Read the text that appears in the next section to make sure all of the data was recovered, then click the "Save as" button to save the pages as a new PDF file
5. In case the method can't assist you, then use more powerful way https://www.openfiletool.com/pdfopen.html PDF Open File Tool
