Problem With Hdmi

Hi all, I just bought a Sony KDF-42A12U TV with no remote & am trying to connect a ps3 . I have the tv on HDMI but all I see is onscreen is HDMI & a box with an arrow through & 6 next to it . Anyone know what I need to do please?
I know it works as I have seen it & can connect the Youview box through a scart cable

You may need to ensure that the PS3 is configured to use its display as HDMI output with the correct HD resolution set to match the TV resolution.
