Hi,

Does anybody use the Business Directory TRADEFINDER when looking for products and services?

I have a small business and Tradefinder have approached me asking if I would like to subscribe.

It doesn't cost too much annually but if it is not used much i'd rather the money stayed in my pocket.
I can have a free listing with very basic details at the bottom of the list or pay a little extra to improve the ad and position.

I personally have never used it.

Any comments would be welcome.
Thanks

money would be better spent advertising in local paper if need be.
I doubt that many people would go straight to that site, so you need to find out if Google goes to it.

Assuming that, for example, you're a plumber in Southampton, try putting 'plumber southampton' into Google. (Also try things like 'find plumber southampton', 'recommended plumber southampton', and so on).

If the Tradefinder site keeps appearing near to the top of the links, then it might well be worth subscribing. If not, forget it.
Ours goes straight in the recycling bin when it's delivered. If I want a tradesman I ask friends and neighbours for recommendations.
Make sure that you've got at least a free listing on Yell.com though. That's one place where people definitely do look for tradesmen:

Thanks guys, you've confirmed my thoughts, no wonder they are not charging much if they are desperate for business.

Will add my business into Yell though, thanks.

Cheers
