TheCorbyloon, that does not clear your Google SEARCH history. only your browser cache and web pages you have visited.

But Google also keeps your search history (EVERY search you have ever made) in your Google Account.

Thank you both for your help, the ones that refused to be deleted have now gone for some strange reason.

I will now have a go at deleting all my Google search history.
