First thing to do is make a copy of the Photo and the use the copy to work on in CS5.
Some very, very basic procures to try first, as CS5 has many, many options available for image adjustment and manipulation:-
Start up CS5 and select 'File>Open' and then select the Photo file to Load up.
Click 'Image' from the top menu bar and initially select 'Auto Tone', 'Auto Contrast' and 'Auto Color', each in turn, to attempt to enhance the image.
If these are not sufficient then you will need to start trying out further adjustments via selecting 'Image'>'Adjustments' and start with 'Brightness/Contrast' or 'Exposure'..... etc.
If the Photo has a tear / rip showing in it, or it displays unwanted specks / spots then you can start trying to remove thses utilising a 'Spot Healing Brush' tool. To access the tool and see how to use it,l check out the following Youtube video:-
When you are satisfied with the changes, don't to forget to save it!
