I want to transfer my photos from my phone to the mac and put some on a disc for a friend. I have the iPhone 6 and have realised i need some sort of usb adapter as my phone has the small usb lead and the mac has the wider port for the usb. Does anyone know specifically which adapter I need to buy? Don't want to waste money on the wrong thing. Thanks in advance.

The mains lead for your iPhone is the same size usb as a Mac.

The small to large USB adaptor leads have been around for a while - to be sure buy from an Apple store but it will probably be more expensive

I don't have an Apple phone but I thought if you set up an iCloud account it automatically uploaded all the photos off your phone up to iCloud.
