Hi there, went to a dance and audio taped the band playing the 60's songs I love so I could re-live the occasion at home. Downloaded it onto my laptop and its 3 hours long. Too long for one of my discs. Any idea how I can get it on disc please. If I start it on one disc will it tell me to put another disc in and carry on or will it start again. Hope you can understand what I mean and thanks in advance for any help and advice you can give me. x

What audio format is it in? If it is say WAV format that will be huge so you could convert it to an mp3 file that would be a lot smaller. A single mp3 file would probably fit on a CD.

I had a dictaphone that I recorded it on, then downloaded onto my laptop, I will have a look and see what it says then convert it then and a big thank you for answering me. x
It will easily fit onto a CD if you convert it to MP3 format. Be aware, though, that many domestic CD players won't play MP3 CDs. Most car CD players will nowadays and, of course, your computer will play it.
get Audacity - its free. You will also need the Lame encoder plugin.

You can then edit the file, add track markers etc and split it if you need to.

Then save the file(s) as mp3

If you have itunes you can put the mp3 files into it and burn an audio cd(s) from there
You don't need audacity for such as simple job. Windows Media Player will convert it to mp3
