My PC has suddenly presented a problem and I need to know is it deceased?
When turned on it says "Press CTRL I to enter configuration utility. Floppy diskette seek failure. strike the F1 key to continue or F2 to run the setup utility". (I don't use floppy disk).

When I pressed F1 it starts up and says " cistray.exe - entry page not found. The procedure entry point GetlogicalProcessor Information could not be located in the dynamic link library KERNELL 32.dll ". I pressed o.k.

I really have no idea what is happening should I just give up ???

Sounds like its initially looking to boot from the floppy - that could mean the internal battery is flat and so the bios has reverted to default settings.

If after doing the suggestion above you still get this, then check the bios settings a

Thank you for your help. I selected F2 and removed the floppy drive entry and then switched diskette drive off. It has rebooted fine.
