Micro Sd Card Suddenly Just Become Write Protected, For No Reason!?

the micro sd card in my phone has suddenly stopped working - half the apps are gone etc, no access to my stuff etc.
however on testing the card in the laptop = the card is fine - all the stuff is still there and available.
however the laptop detects a disk error - which is that its write protected!
but it gives no way to change that

its tiny and has no little lever to unlock, like the larger ones.

so how do i unlock it to use it again?

if it was a small size i'd just get rid but its 32gb so id like to use it if i can

it wont let me format it, just says its write protected.

the phone is only a few weeks old so unlikely to be gunked up with grime just yet

any one any other ideas?
