Lately I have been having problems with connecting to the internet via my Toshiba Laptop. I can connect via another laptop, by phone and Ipad.
It has now got worse and more often than not I either cannot connect, even though the laptop shows that it is connected, or it does connect and I can go to a website such as BBC News, but then when I click on a subject it will come up saying "This website cannot be found, or something like that.
Is there anything I can do to find the cause? The router is in the hall, and I am a few feet away in the lounge - walls are just breeze block if that makes any difference.
TIA
Try resetting the TCP/IP stack. (Don't worry; it's easier than it sounds!). It's helped me fix internet connection problems, both for myself and for others, loads of times. Scroll down to 'Let me fix it myself' here: https://support.microsoft.com/en-gb/kb/299357

Thanks Buenchico, I'll give this a try tonight. I so hope this solves things - it's so frustrating. As from my previous posts on techno stuff, I'm not that savvy, so help from people like you is much appreciated.
Cheers
