Help !

I have an iphone 6, and I store lots of info on its "notes" facility. I have just had a look and there is only the one entry there, instead of about 50 !

The only thing I can think of is that I erased all the others by mistake, although I can't think how I did that.

Is there a way I can retrieve them ? I'm afraid that I don't use itunes to back things up very often. When I changed over to the 6 from the 4, all my data transfer was done by the Guru chap in O2 shop.

For instance, will this be stored on the "cloud" somewhere ?

Yes, I think you are correct Minty ! He was very helpful earlier this year. I just hope these notes are saved somewhere....birthdays, postcodes, Passwords, etc !
probably some archiving setting, they'll be in the cloud unless you actually did delete them.
I think Apple are good at storing all your personal info..somewhere...
If personal data can end up in the "cloud" without the phone owner's knowledge that would be a drastic abuse of the owner's privacy rights. Let's just hope that, like a PC, any deleted data isn't immediately overwritten. Go to the shop asap ?
If you're in the main notes window hit the back arrow top left, this takes you to the folder selection window, one of which is 'recently deleted' so if you have deleted them you'll find them there, you'll also be able to see if you have accidentally switched folder and they're all happily stored elsewhere. Also, check in the settings app in the iCloud section that you have it switched on for notes. In addition, if you fon't have that much stored on your phone you can (from iTunes) set it to backup to the cloud so you don't have to worry about backing up to iTunes.

Fitzer !

I have gone to my notes folder, and I can't see a "recently deleted" There are only two options....Icloud notes (0) and "on my phone (3)

So if I had deleted them by mistake, and I still can't see how I did, shouldn't there be a folder there ?
stored to SIM not phone ??
I don't have iphone but can choose to store to phone's memory or sim....
do you have a storage option on settings ??? mine shows separate info for phone and sim and can access both independently

Don't know Minty !

As soon as our bloody hailstorm stops (!) I am going to throw myself on the mercy of that nice o2 Guru chap !

Perhaps he will take pity on an old buffer like me !

( still don't understand how I can have erased these notes....if I did, why are there 3 left ? If I had erased them, there wouldn't be any left would there ! )

Ruddy modern technology !
Yes I would have thought so, however it does seem unlikely that you could have accidentally deleted multiple notes, my only other thought is to ask if the phone is connected to the 'net when you are looking for the notes, I wonder if they're in the cloud but you can't see them as the phone isn't connected?
semaphore..morse...and bongos seem more sensible at times ! good luck ! xx
It's the Labour party mikey, they have direct control of all Iphones, that's why I have android!

Complete disaster according to the Guru ! Apparently I had deleted these and no, I can't get 'em back.

I deleted a lot of old trash and junk emails last night, without putting me specs on and I must have deleted these as well ! Silly ass.

So, its going to be long day today, trying to remember all the important ones.
:-(
