Deleting Emails

Every time I try to delete emails from my inbox to trash or trash to junk I get a message on screen saying " The massages cannot be moved to the trash" . Hat do I do to get rid of them?

try deleting them one at a time.

are you using webmail, or a program on the computer?

I have tried deleting one by one and in groups but it doesn't work. I am on my iPad.
