I have a wireless printer, a NAS and everything is networked. Not a problem.
One exception - Windows Media Center no longer works but there were better free alternatives that I used anyway

A lot depends on which of the older apps. you are using TTT. Some have had problems with older versions of some photo editing and word processing programmes. Nothing insurmountable though. If you have probs. just post in tech. and legions will help. Off topic but don't miss Last of the Whites of the East End. BBC1 Tues 10:45. Notice how late it is on?

On your Win7 machine, did you have anything like OEM MS Office installed?
Would I be forced to shell out for Word, Excel and anything else M$ wants another 300 quid for?
This is the kind of thing I've heard not enough about.
As it was, Win 7 wouldn't support old faves, like SimCity4 (Deluxe Edition), not even in "compatability mode". Something about an old .dll which is no longer supported. (Not that lappy gfx would be up to it).
Anyway, lesson learned, back then and none of us trust Win10 with backward compatability issues, pending tales of woe, or joy from those more bold (and less addicted) than us.
You get the picture?
The other factor is "if it's free, what's the catch?" Business brain (such as it is) wants to know how they make money out of millions of freebies?

Why is it free? Most people never buy a version of MS operating systems during their computing life - they buy a new pc with the latest version installed. The cost of the OS is incorporated in to the overall cost, as it now with new machines with W10 installed. From the end of July this year there will be no free upgrades - if you want to upgrade you will have to pay.
I don't know if your OEM Office will work. If it doesn't you won't have to pay out £300+ for a new licence as MS Office 365 costs £79 a year for up to 5 devices, including Android devices

I stopped using MS Office years ago and find the free substitutes more than adequate for my needs, and totally compatible with Office
