would i be giving myself problems by getting rid of internet explorer from my computer? I am finding it a pain in the bum non responsive comes up to often so just wondered if i can get rid of it without giving myself any problems

Yes you would. Just download a different browser, set it as your default and ignore IE.

You will not be giving yourself problems getting rid of it. I would however recommend downloading an alternative web browser before you do.

Downloading an internet browser without an internet browser becomes complicated. You may find you need a browser in the future.

I would recommend Google Chrome

If you try removing IE you will revert to the previous edition.

Just do as suggested by hc4361.

Personally, I would avoid Google Chrome which is much too invassive and will track every move you make on the Internet.

You can have as many Browsers as you wish and Firefox is deemed to be the number one.

Theres no reason why you shouldnt dump it - I prefer Firefox as it seems to come up pretty much fault free for the things that I do.

@nevers....I find it very difficult to appreciate that Firefox would have totally corrupted your laptop. More like you had picked up a virus.

What explanation did the repairers give to you.?
