How Do I Make A Sign Using "paint"

OK, how can i put this so it makes sense?..ill give it a try....I want to make a "for sale" notice to put in supermarket noticeboards, i have already downloaded the sign i want to use, but i want to use "microsoft paint" to add words but when i use the "paste" key i seem to paste all the borders and rims etc and this prints out along with the sign...anyone help? i dont have any other method installed to do it, cheers in advance

Have you tried adding the wording using Paint instead of pasting them in?

yes, putting the words in isnt the problem, getting the original empty sign to "paint" is the problem...it always seems to paste with some kind of background ( which i could just cut off but would cost a fortune in ink if i kept doing this ) .

Do you see the unwanted bits in the print preview?

Try this:
1. Find a sign that you like on Google images.
2. Left click on sign to display it on screen.
3. Right click on sign. Drop-down menu appears.
4. Left click Save As.
5. Pictures file appears, with sign/image name highlighted in Save box.
6. Left click on Save button. The sign now goes to Pictures file.
7. Open Pictures file and left click on sign, then left click on Open.
8. Sign appears in Paint.
9. Left click on capital letter A at top of screen.
10. Use mouse cursor to draw a box in which to type your words.
11. When you have finished typing words, save it and print it.
