as in a samsung5 i had a file restorer that got me back all my lost files / pics etc

is there anything similar for a hp chromebook ? thanks

A Chromebook assumes that you'll be online and, by default, stores all files in Google Drive. So have the files disappeared from Google Drive or from your Chromebook's 'Temporary' folder?
