How To Add Songs To Itunes On A New Pc

I've copied all the songs across and saved them in as "My old documents" on the desktop. But itunes can't locate the songs when I click on them. Is there an easy way of telling itunes where they are? Or do I have to put all the songs in the itunes folder of my new PC- is that where they need to be?!

put them all in "my music" ("c" disc) it will find them

Try copy trans control centre you can manage your ipod without Itunes.
