As my old tv is showing signs of age I think it could be a good time to fork out for a new one .The problem is we watch in a small room about 3 metres square so not too big ,anyway reading all the guff just makes my head ache ..It comes down to one thing apparently there is no point in having 4K if the TV is smaller than 48" as you wont see the difference ( except in your pocket) and I have read that to use the 4K (yes I know that there is not a lot yet ) you need a very fast internet connection and I have only 8.1mb can anyone help?

The bitrate for standard 4K video is 35-48 Mbs.

So does that mean I need 35mb internet connection?
I would save my money and just get HD.

However you must ensure the TV is full HD, not HD ready, or you don't get the full effect.
