Touchpad Sensitivity - Is There An App Or Something?

My new-ish PC laptop has a different level of touchpad sensitivity to my old laptop - and the settings in the machine don't change it enough.

it is quite annoying to use - is there an app, a program or something that I can get to have even more control over the settings?

I find myself moving my finger then having to go back and do it again to 'catch' and make it do what I want.

That model doesn't seem to offer much flexibility in the way that the touchpad works.

If you've not already done so, you could try going to Control Panel > Hardware & Sound > Devices & Printers > Mouse to see if anything there helps.

Otherwise you're probably stuck with having to adapt your technique to the demands of your new touchpad or, as I nearly always do with any laptop anyway, plugging a mouse into a USB port. (That's how I'm using this laptop right now!)

thanks, yes i've already looked at the settings and tried all kinds of variations.

thats why i asked if there was some separate software or app that could install, that will help me.

If a touchpad isn't designed to recognise differences in the pressure applied to it (as, say, a graphics tablet would do), there's no way that any software could possibly know how great, or little, pressure you're applying. Sorry!
