asking this question for x wife, she is with BT , she gets up to 17mbs a month . she cant get virgin where she is at, anyway she has large lcd tv.

i want to buy the kids an android box or an amax=zon firestick to watch movies etc.

what is minimum broadband needed to stream ? should she upgrade with BT or go to SKY fibre optic unlimited ?

Not clear what you mean by 17Mbs *a month*.
17Mbs means 17 Megabits per second, which is more than enough for streaming HD movies
