I need help in downloading apps on to my phone the problem is it is ask for a microsoft account password the person who perchased the phone as no idea and am a reluctant owner with no s ense at all of I.T. pleas help

Is it a new phone? I assume it is like android where you need a google account log in. If you don't have a microsoft account already then you are usually given the option to set one up. You can't download apps without one.
