You Tube To Flash Drive
14 Answers
I know this has been asked in the past but with rapid changes in technology I thought there might be other simple methods of downloading You Tube video clips to a flash drive. But I also have to admit that it's such a long time since I did this that I've forgotten how !

https:/ /addons .mozill a.org/e n-GB/fi refox/u ser/art ur-dubo voy/?sr c=api
Once you start playing the video clip you can stop it click on the download arrow and if available select the type and quality you want and save it anywhere you wish

The download arrow for The Flash Video Downloader is generally located on the right of Firefox’s toolbar and will be greyed out. When you select a video and click on play the arrow will change colour to blue you can then stop the video and click on the download arrow and then select the type (MP4, WebM etc) and quality (1080,720,480 etc) of the download once you select the download you will be able to select the location to download to.
Thanks again, B, but i've downloaded the clip I want and can open it from the 'downloads' arrow to the left of the Mozilla 'Home' or 'Start Page' icon. The clip plays via Windows Media Player but I can't find any way to send it to my 'videos' file or to my F drive ( memory stick).
The link you provided shows hot to install the add -on etc, which I had already done and to perform the download but then bears little resemblance to what I get.
So, to summarise, I have the required clip in my 'downloads' file - and it plays in windows Media Player but I cant save ot or send it to pc or F drive and it doesn't seem to be in any other folder etc.
Could this be a clip that cannot be saved ?
Please bear with me; I am not too skilled .
Thanks.

Hi Bertrum,
Here's the YouTube link I want to put on my flash drive. Perhaps you might like to have a go yourself - and I think you might enjoy it, too. It's hilarious, unless you happen to be one of the insulted parties, which is just about everyone !

I must be doing something wrong because I've done all you describe and the clip is sent to my 'downloads' list as I described at 17.52. It is from that point that I can't save it anywhere. How did you do it ? There is no
'send to' option when I right click on the download link.
What if I try with the 'tinypic' programme you are using ?
Cheers.
PS. Clip 2 of the tour is even funnier.

Glad you managed to get it working. It occurred to me ten minutes after going out the door you were viewing the download list which is not the file but clicking it will play the video, right clicking and selecting “Open Folder Containing” should then have taken you to the download folder and the file itself where you should be able to right click and “send to” “cut” or “copy” etc.
