I keep getting pages unresponsive in Chrome,it happens on many different sites. Is it a problem with Chrome or do I need to sort something on my PC. Doesn't happen in other browsers. (Desktop ,Windows 7, Home)

Click the 3 dots/bars (top-right) > Help > About Google Chrome
If a new version is available, it should run automatically & then ask you to click the "Relaunch" button to implement the update.
If it's still not allowing pages to open, try clearing your cache & cookies.
Click 3 dots > More Tools > Clear browsing data
In the box that opens, in the drop-down list, select "the beginning of time", tick "Cookies & other site and plug-in data" & "Cached images & files" then click "Clear browsing data".
Make sure *NO* other boxes are ticked - you don't need to clear anything else. The problem (ok, minor hassle...) with clearing cookies (which is why I never do it) is that when you revisit sites that you use a lot, you'll generally have to "Accept cookies" again & auto log-ins such as here on AB might not work until you've logged in again & ticked "Remember me...".
