I keep getting pages unresponsive in Chrome,it happens on many different sites. Is it a problem with Chrome or do I need to sort something on my PC. Doesn't happen in other browsers. (Desktop ,Windows 7, Home)

Ok.
You could try checking that you have the latest version of Chrome installed.

Click the 3 dots/bars (top-right) > Help > About Google Chrome

If a new version is available, it should run automatically & then ask you to click the "Relaunch" button to implement the update.

If it's still not allowing pages to open, try clearing your cache & cookies.

Click 3 dots > More Tools > Clear browsing data

In the box that opens, in the drop-down list, select "the beginning of time", tick "Cookies & other site and plug-in data" & "Cached images & files" then click "Clear browsing data".

Make sure *NO* other boxes are ticked - you don't need to clear anything else. The problem (ok, minor hassle...) with clearing cookies (which is why I never do it) is that when you revisit sites that you use a lot, you'll generally have to "Accept cookies" again & auto log-ins such as here on AB might not work until you've logged in again & ticked "Remember me...".
I am having same problem. Tearing my hair out. So frustrating I'll try Lie-in kings method

LiK,thanks for reply, i'll try your suggestion & include 'Cookies', don't normally when cleaning up, I know it's a hassle having to reset logins but anything is worth a try, I'll let you know later in the week if it's worked, P
Puzzled & c-b47 - They were the first things that occurred to me to try. I hope they help but if not, keep bumping the thread to LP & I'm sure a solution can be found. :-)
