Photo Book....kinda
10 Answers
My Mum has a lot of newspaper cuttings from down the years, and I would like to get them put into some sort of order in a permanent book for her wedding anniversary. Has any of you knowledgeable folk ever got a kind of a photobook done, or even is it possible. In my mind I picture getting her wedding photo on the cover, and her newspaper cuttings inserted, instead of where photos would normally go.... if this makes sense to anyone. Can someone please guide me what do I do, or have some of you done something like this previously? Or links to websites that might sort me out? All help and advice appreciated, please....

It's a lovely and idea and the book will be treasured forever. i got hold of a load of black and white photos of my mums family from many years ago, I put them all in a photobook and gave them to her for Mothers Day a couple of years ago. She was over the moon with it. Good luck with the scanning.

If you want it to look like a proper printed book, then the best thing to do would be to scan and save everything you want in it to your computer. Then go to one of the companies that do this sort of thing (I used Tesco) and it will guide you through the whole process. You upload the images you want on each page, placing it where you like, choosing the cover and any text you want to have.

if you create it you could have it professionally bound...and maybe a copy for you...Whe I was having a dissertation bound he was working on the memories of an elderly woman who had died and all her direct descendents were going to get a copy...the latter may not be appropriate but they come back just like a book and with title embossed on it too. Made my work look brilliant!
Hi Robinia
I think the book was about 20cm by 15cm. Most of the photos were black and white and some were that small size of around 8cm x 5cm and they came out fine in the printing process. They were quite good quality to start with, if they're not it will reflect in the end result. I had the added bonus of them already being digital copies as my cousin emailed loads to me. It made the job much easier.
