Yahoo Keeps Intruding
6 Answers
I'm running MS Office Suite 2010 on a Sony Viao with Windows 7.
Just lately when using Firefox I find that Yahoo intrudes to take over as my search engine.
I then take it off and reinstate Google, but a couple of days later it happens again.
Do any members know if there a solution to this which will keep my preferred search engine as Google?

In Firefox, click on the "hamburger" (3 parallel lines) at the top-right of the screen) to open the menu and then choose "settings".
The tab down the left-hand side will allow you to open "search" and there you will find, and be able to change, your default search engine.

When you've done "3 lines" > "Options" > "Search" & selected Google, try unticking any others from the "One-click search engines" box, so the screen looks like this - http:// tinyurl .com/zc ldofg
Not sure if that'll do it, but worth a try I feel. Also, do you have any Extensions that you don't recognise (or maybe that you do know, but have installed recently) that might be Yahoo connected? If yes, disable or remove them, restart F'fox & see if that's done it.
