Comparison/recommendation Of Two Tablets

I have 2 7" tablets and i am giving one to my mum

one is a Fire gen 5
the other is an Alcatel Pixi3 (7)

both have the same specs on storage

can anyone help me decide which to keep?


(my mum only wants it as large camera you see, so i want to make sure i keep the best one, but im just not sure)

I don’t think that there is a significant difference between the two (I believe both have a 2M Pixel rear camera – not that good compared with current models).

Although you want to keep the better model, since your mother only wants to use it as a large camera – I would offer your mother whichever she finds easier to use (taking, saving, reviewing, printing photos).

I'd keep the Fire.
The Amazon fork of Android is better, and they are more likely to put out upgrades

thanks all, yes i gave her the alcatel one - she has borrowed it before and i think its a simpler UI and doesnt need to be linked to an amazon account etc.
she is 76 so although she can use technology she is limited.
