Ebay Buyer Question

In July last year I sold an old nurse's fob watch which worked fine. Last night I've had a message from the buyer saying the winder has fallen out & been lost. She asked me to send a replacement winder! I replied to say I didn't have a replacement. This morning she's messaged me again saying she's demanding a refund. This is 8 months after she received it!! She could have, I'm thinking, damaged it herself. Surely she can't request a refund from me or through PayPal. I'm a private low seller user. This watch had been in my possession for many years & as I had no use for it now, sold it. Advice welcome please

Do not reply to the byers mess, if the buyer starts to harass you advise them that if this persists you will report them, leave it at that and don't get stressed about it.

8 Months!!! do not reply, did the buyer have a lifetime warrantee? Stupid Buyer.
She can't do that- it's absolutely ridiculous. You sold her a fully intact watch and SHES lost the winder. Her problem.
To add, she can buy a winder for under a fiver. & easy to fit.
Ignore her post. The watch was in working order when it was sold and, being second-hand, there was Not a need for any warrantee to be given.

Hans.
There is a 90 day time limit to making a complaint about an eBay sale or asking for a refund, so just ignore her or better still report her to eBay.

I couldn't believe it when I saw her first message last night & then her demand for a refund this morning. I appreciate your replies! I am not a business seller, & only occasionally list items for sale on there. I know PayPal will refund if someone complains the item they've received is not right/faulty but would they entertain a claim from her after 8 months have elapsed?

As others have said they are obviously trying it on. Ignore & if the persist contact eBay
Do NOT get involved in a conversation with this buyer. Simply say that 8 months later, it is not your responsibility and that is your final word on the matter.
Don't even reply, as I said there is a 90 day time limit to refund requests or complaints for eBay sales. Also to get a refund the buyer must first return the item!

I've heard nothing from my buyer for 24hours so I'm assuming she now realises she is going to get nowhere. Thank you for all your answers
