Warning About Answerbank
9 Answers
Have just tried to log in to AB using firefox and have got a warning saying my details aren't secure and if I continue they may not be secure - I usually use firefox and to my knowledge haven't altered anything. Have just used Google and everything was normal.
Is this anything I should be worried about? Many thanks

If it begins with “https” instead of “http” it means the site is secured using an SSL Certificate (the s stands for secure). SSL Certificates secure all of your data as it is passed from your browser to the website's server. I wonder why AB doesn't secure this website...
You say that, but some trusting folk may use the same username and password at all their sites including financial ones; so as a courtesy to those unable to see the problem, https is good practice at such screens.
it's just an annoying Firefox update
