i bid on and won an item on ebay, then the invoice came thru with a note saying the sellers paypal account was closed and to use a nochex account.  before i had the money to pay, my ebay email account got closed.  i have a new email now, but the seller wont respond to my messages.  no money has changed hands yet, but i'm worried he'll give me a negative feedback for not paying.  any advice?

Are you using the eBay message system to contact the seller?

contact ebay with full details. some people cause a problem and then try to blame the buyer. Ebay will see you have acted in good faith and can remove any unpaid item strikes. I was advised by ebay themselves not to pay on one item, because the person had a history of claiming there was something wrong with their paypal account and asking for cash instead. Tell ebay you don't feel you can trust the seller any more. all you can do about feedback is return and follow up and try to explain the truth rather than giving insults. ebay may remove it at their discretion
