What is the safest, best and more effective way to clean a computer key-board?

My brother told me that a computer keyboard would survive me dropping liquid on it, so when mines got dirty I washed it in the shower. It died.

Don't clean it that way - little b** thought it was funny.

i was going to ask this myself, don't know,
i will be interested to know best way to clean my over dirty keyboard and screen.

Can of compressed air and a feather duster for the keyboard.

i occasionally turn my lappy upside down and give it a gentle tap, it's amazing the amount of crumbs that come out of the keyboard

I bought a little cosmetic blusher brush in chemist and clean it with that, it so soft and gets safely into all the grooves, you can also buy a little vacuum for the keyboard you plug into the usb port

Turn upside down and shake vigorously. Use compressed air to blow gunk out from under the keys.
If you need to the keys can be pinged off for cleaning underneath.
Wipe with a barely damp cloth.

I don't think that cleaning your screen would be much of a problem, there are plenty of screen cleaning products on the market, but a cheaper way would be to use a little dish washing liquid on a damp cloth.

I've seen experts do it with things that looked like Qtips and a bottle of something that smelled like the cleaning alcohol (in an office I was visiting)

those bloody useless little plastic plaque brushes the dental hygienists like do have a function and it's cleaning the keyboard, that and an air aerosol. I use old-fashioned floss on my teeth.

A fine spray of polish, then quickly run a dry paintbrush along the top, & between the keys.

Tip for those that are thick:::. Dont use a scouring pad!

wife to Husband on phone : Help..windows are freezing will not move what should I do ?

Husband to wife : pour a little hot water on them and gently tap the sides with a hammer, that'll free them

Wife to husband: well that's well and truly bu**ered up the lappie !!

As said, turn it upside down tap it, I use a 1" paint brush for the gaps.

got any bog standard furniture polish, tuen off pc or laptop, then get a cotton cloth spray the whole key board let it sit for five minutes, have a good bloody wipe, then use a clean cotton cloth over that..done reboot, yada yada
