Sd Card In Laptop.

If I put a SD card in my laptop,how would that work.?

It shows up as a drive in Explorer. You can copy files to and from it, download music/pictures/video to it. Treat it as any other drive.

You should always make sure it safe to eject the SD card from your pc - it might be 'busy' and removing it would corrupt the data.

Click the little upwards arrow in the bottom taskbar on the right. Click on the mouse icon (it's an oblong with a tail), click on the drive letter and it will tell you when it's safe to remove it

on my laptop you just select computer on the start menu and if the card is in it will show up as devices with removable storage, just click that.

Thank you everybody.I am wanting to save memory ,so if/can I transfer pics ,documents ,will that do the trick?

It will, but I'd prefer to use a USB stick (also called flash drive or pen drive) or an external hard drive.

hc...I have several of those ,use as back up,but also kept pics etc.in laptop,suppose I should delete from there to save memory?

Depends how full your hard drive is, really and how much space your photos take up
