No Firewall In Free Avast.

On recommendation I have removed Free AVG and installed Free Avast, but I now find that Free Avast does not contain a firewall.

Should I go back to Free AVG?

Stay with Avast. If your Operating System is Windows there is an inbuilt Firewall that activates by default.

Go into your Control Panel..you should find Firewall listed... click it open and see if it's switched on.

Thank you Hans yes my Window's Firewall is switched on, and my Window's Virus Protection is off.

Thank you once again for your valuable help, I was about to remove Avast and install AVG once again.
I'm happy enough just to use the built-in firewall with Windows (alongside Avast). However some people prefer to use a separate third-party firewall, which theoretically offers better 'two-way' protection than the Windows one does.
