pentium processors in laptops

i am thinking of gettign a HP laptop. however, i see that it has a pc pentium chip rather then a mobile one. would this effect it much? it has a reallyt good spec apart from this. any advise is welcomed. thanks

"centrino" processors allow a much longer battery life and/or much smaller battery (thus lighter laptop)
That's the main difference.

The pentium chip will certainly reduce the time that your battery will last and the laptop will probably run hotter (watch your lap) and this means that the fan may be on more often.
