When I look on my friends list on FB, one of them is missing a profile pic. When I click on their name it comes up with
//This account has been deactivated. Only you can see *name* on your friends list.//
They also seem to have disappeared from mutual friends lists. A search of their name reveals nothing. Have I been blocked or have they simply deactivated their account?
Thanks

They've deactivated their account.
If you are blocked by someone, that person vanishes to you as though they had never existed on facebook, but to others they are still there and still visible....also facebook makes no comment to you and gives no explanation.
Woof is right. They completely vanish.
Which part of "This account has been deactivated" are you having trouble with?

//Which part of "This account has been deactivated" are you having trouble with?//
The part I'm having trouble with, Chair, is expressed in the next sentence (if you'd bother to read it)
//They also seem to have disappeared from mutual friends lists//
A quick google search says simply that they may indeed have deactivated their account but no mention of not appearing on mutual friends lists.
Clearer?
Thanks for the other replies guys.
