No I don't want to use waste bin either. But am afraid that if I keep putting the waste in to the other "black" bin. They will not pick up the black bin.
I think you misunderstood the question ummmm. Here in West Berkshire we put food scraps into a recyclable plastic bag ie, a bag made from plastic which will recycle. I think that is what jenny is looking for.
I have the brown caddy for food waste, we're not allowed put bags in them, two sheets of newspaper only and it has to be washed with dettol after it's collected, I'm so fussy about it and the bin company has me so messed up over it I sometimes think the caddy is cleaner than my dishes
All the food waste bags sold in supermarkets and Poundland etc are biodegradable and are specifically for food waste recycling. All the ones I've ever bought are very pale green - look for the small rolls of pale green bags.
douglas my brown caddy is only like a bucket, no garden waste allowed, food only and they don't accept them little green bio degradable bags, the rules of the bins come between me and my night's sleep
I didn't misunderstand. Jenny is in NI. Everywhere is different. We are supplied with 3 boxes plus a food waste box, there is no garden waste collection where I live. The council supply bags for general waste and the rest is put in the boxes but the council will take any surplus as long as they are put into white bags. They do not specify what type of white bags.
