I'm trying to print 16 pages of insurance details which are in pdf format (adobe) and after about four pages the rest are blank. I've tried converting the document to Word but Adobe is asking for several pounds for this option. Can ayone help.

I'm using Firefox with Windows 7.

Are you actually viewing the document with Adobe Reader or is it in a browser window? If it's the latter, check that you're using the 'Print' button which appears within the window, and not just using Ctrl-P (or Print >Screen).

If that doesn't help, try the following:
1. Download and install a decent pdf reader. (Although Adobe invented the pdf format, Adobe Reader is horrid, clunky, error-ridden software). That means either Foxit Reader (which is undoubtedly the most popular alternative with ABers) or my own favourite, Sumatra PDF:
https://www.sumatrapdfreader.org/free-pdf-reader.html
2. If the pdf file comes to you as a link in an email, don't just open it from the link. Instead save it to your hard drive.
3. Then open the pdf on your hard drive with your new pdf program.
4. Print it from there.

Thanks, Chris. I've installed sumatrapdfreader and will try again later and let you know how I got on.

I'm always loathe to answer on these type of questions but when that happens to me at work it's because the printer memory can't cope with the whole lot at once (lots of graphics usually). I'd try selecting a couple of pages at a time to print..

Chris, I now share your enthusiasm for sumatrapdf - it worked a treat !

Thanks again.

And Prudie, Don't be shy ! You can only say what works for you. Thanks.
