Amazon Firestick With 'alexa' Voice..

I have had mine for a few weeks, and find it helpful, but its a bit annoying when you have to pay for lots of stuff on there.

Granted there are some free movies, music, etc, and other programmes, but theres quite a few you have to pay for, which some I could do with Sky.

But overall, its a bit of fun, and Alexa is very helpful :-).

Any a/b on here have it, what do you think?

I have an Amazon Firestick installed & have been very happy with the overall performance of it, I particularly like the ability to search for & find any movie I would like to watch. However I have discovered that if I go into Amazon & click on Prime I can use all of the same attributes that the Firestick provides so could have saved money by not buying
it. A bit naughty I feel.

I forgot to mention that Ron, I was already a member of Prime, so got stung.

Didnt realise this till I bought one for my daughter, who dosent have Prime, but can more or less get the same as me :-(

personally i wouldn't have anything that can record anything i say send to any internet company whether i have to say alexa or cortana in my house

i alos have a firestick, somehow i got signed up to prime for the free trial, i do not remember ever signing up to it, so i went into my amazon account and ended my free trial so as not to get billed after free trial ends, over all it's a decent device.

I dont know if its recorded Ivor, or if its possible for someone to hear what you have said (doubt it) but shouldnt think they would be interest in somebody asking for the latest weather, or sports results, unless you are a known spy :-)

that's what it says on the info for alexa ,it records what you ask it then its sent to amazon,
not being paranoid at all but so many things can be got round by hacking guy.who knows if not listening to you permanently
dont forget the samsung tv with camera on the front which were know to be watching you unknown to the owner.

Thanks Ron, I already do the above & also for friends, as just put down its a gift.
I dont think you can beat Amazon for service, returns & refunds if you are not happy, although feel a bit sorry for family retailers, who are feeling the pinch now..
