Connecting Laptop To Internet

I am having trouble connecting my laptop to the internet. After troubleshooting I have the message "WiFi does not gave valid IP configuration"
It probably is very simple but how can I fix this please?

Try This before doing any IP address resets Hardy.
Start > Control Panel > Windows Firewall > Allow a program or feature > remove Bonjour > reboot computer.

It may help Hardy if you tell us what system you are running, 10,8,7?
Plus are any other appliances hooking up OK with your router, phone ipad etc? Plus has it happened after an upgrade or an app being added? Are you using a third party firewall and anti virus program or windows defender?

Thank you thank you thank you - I have deleted Bonjour and all appears to be working fine. Thank you once again. P.s. how did this happen for future reference ?

Bonjour is Apple's app for locating devices and address assignment. It may have installed when you upgraded or installed iTunes. You can have your settings to always notify you, and ask permission before any such systems are installed on your lappie.
