If Trump used soft, or softer, words, KJ-U might regard that as a win for him, and he might back down. Plus, if Trump would only speak plain English, instead of the vague double-speak that he now uses, all concerned would have a better chance of understanding what he really means.

The North Korean leader is just a figurehead. The real power is in the hands of a highly secret group known as 'The National Security Committee' or some similar name. If Kim Jong was assassinated or died another member of his family would be shoehorned into power to take over. He is just the public face of NK the real power brokers keep well out of public scrutiny. Their names are not even known to most of the NK government let alone the rest of the world.

The name was changed from the ' National Defence Committee' a few years back. As I said the identity of members of the commission are known to very few even inside NK!
Kim Joung is no more than a puppet dancing the the tune of the puppet masters !
Get rid of him and within hours another member of the family will be pushed into his place and forced to sing from the same hymn sheet.
I don't think even the CIA know who the members of the 'State Affairs Commission' are !

Kim is useful as his antics keep the rest of the world amused and stop them from looking into you really runs NK. He is an alcoholic who is allowed to import literally gallons of top quality French cognac for his personal consumption.
They keep him 'under the influence' so he does not start to think for himself. Every speech and statement he makes has been written for him by 'the commission'. He is told where he is going each day and what he will say once he gets there!

The link supplied by EDDIE51 stated that the mysterious at the 4th plenary session of the Supreme People's Assembly in June 2016 - the National Defence Commission was officially replaced by the State Affairs Commission, with Kim Jung-Un as chairman. I do believe that what Kim Jung-Un says carries weight against any possible dissenters in the newly formed (in June 2016) State Affairs Commission.
