Edit Gmail Address

Due to my present gmail in box being full of mail that unsubscribeing has no effect I wish to alter my email address. Can anyone help as a message I got was I couldn't change it. All help appreciated.

You need to create a separate one. If you want aany emails for the old one to go to the new one I'm not sure you can do that.
Can't you delete lots of the emails from your gmail account? I assume you are getting lots of spam. Unsubscribing leads to more spam not less

Do you suggest I move any emails from existing gmail account to my hotmail account then delete my existing gmail account before creating a new gmail account?

Just leave your old gmail account, and set up a new one, you can have as many gmail accounts as you want.

I have about 15.

You can set filters to forward wanted emails to the new email address
