Ipad/ Printer Link

My iPad mini and HP Deskjet 2540 printer, which were connected via wifi, no longer link. My normal 'helper' is away. Can I get some advice on reconnecting, please. Thanks in anticipation.

I know HP were discontinuing the HP eprint app - so I didn't upgrade mine.

I haven't printer lately so don't know if mine still works!

Is wifi turned on on the printer?

Have you got the manual for the printer? If not download it from here:

Read about wireless settings, page 6 and wireless printing, pages 16 & 17. Come back if you need clarification of any specific issue.
I'm sorry I cannot do more to help you. In directly helping a friend to reconnect his wireless printer I did find the process not particularly user friendly.

Thank you both for your responses. I managed to find the User Manual and the problem has been solved. I was lucky. I'm not sure I could fix it again if the problem recurs!
