I cant get rid of.
It takes about 3 qtrs of the screen in the middle, and clicking mouse on it everywhere wont shift it, including the X in the top left.
I am on google C, and win 8.1

Right-click on your desktop and select 'Refresh'.
If that doesn't work . . .
Right-click on the taskbar at the foot of your screen. Open the Task Manager. Select the Processes tab. Look for anything which might be causing the panel to appear. Click on it, select End Process and confirm.
Or, as Ummm suggests, try turning it off and then on again!
