Some sort of weird default resumption to manufacturers settings happens when they run but only on some set ups. I have a suspicion also, that some keyboards and laptops have built in short cut functions and the like, and a random set of key strokes(to the user) set a set of actions into happening without you knowing. When my son was gaming on my desktop and setting up custom shortcuts to speed up his reaction times my pc use to wake up in Kazakhstan or Egyptian hieroglyphics some days without us having done anything conscious. Used to drive me demented and he thought it was great fun.
