If i am tryin to network do i need a cross over adapter 4 both computers on the network?

How are you connecting the computers in the network ?


Have you just got the 2 computers and you want to link just them together with no internet involved.


Or are you conecting them both to the internet via something like a router ?

Hi ray, First point is that I would strongly suggest that you use correct english when talking about things like this as your post could easily get confused with how many PC you are actually using.


If you are connecting two computers only then yes you just need a cable with 'crossover' connections. see this page for the info on how it should be connected.


If you want to connect any more you will need a hub or switch.
