Email Problem
9 Answers
I've had to change my email address due to incompetence of talktalk.
Just realised I had ordered something from a catalogue that I hadn't received. Went on my account with the company. Found out the item was out of stock and order was cancelled. Due to email problem I did not know this. I think they would have emailed me at old address but I could not receive it.
Is there any way I can gather up all these emails I should have received from old email address.

I went to the CEO and demanded answers. So upshot I have lost my email which I had for over 20 years and they have lost my custom. I had to let everybody know my new email and like you, worry about missing important emails.

I am sorry that I am unable to help. It really is a matter to be sorted out with TT but, unfortunately, it is an ISP that appears to hide its problems by refraining from sensible Talk Talk.

Can you not link your addresses together in, say, Outlook? It gets mail from all my odd addresses through yahoo, gmail etc but they're active accounts, the problem is if yours is closed. I had a similar problem when we had to leave Virgin, I was on AB through my virgin address but couldn't tell AB of my change because they wanted me to go through that dead account so I restarted under my current address.
If your emails got through to TalkTalk's server you should be able to check them by logging into your account via their website. (i.e. DON'T use your email app):
https:/ /www.ta lktalk. co.uk/m ail/
If you configure your GMX account to pick up mail from your TalkTalk address, anything new will show up when you check your GMX mail:
https:/ /suppor t.gmx.c om/emai l/setti ngs/mai lcollec tor.htm l
As I wrote before, you can acces your GMX account (including anything forwarded to it from your TalkTalk account) in any of three ways;
1. You can use their web interface to log in here: https:/ /www.gm x.co.uk
2. You can use the dedicated GMX app on your iPad: https:/ /itunes .apple. com/de/ app/gmx -mail/i d417352 269?l=e n
3. You can use your existing iPad email app: https:/ /www.e- mailset tings.c om/ipho ne/gmx- mail-ma il-setu p
