mp man mp3 player

I have just bought a mp man 1gb mp3 player from comet, it will only let me download aprox 150 tracks onto it although it says there is aprox 500mb space left, also it will only let me play 99 songs, i have had a look at the instructions and it says something about putting the music into files, but doesn't tell you how to do it.

has anyone else had this problem, or any ideas how to sort it ?

it is doing my head in now !!!
