Iphone 5S Query

Only got a iPhone 5s model but wonder if someone could explain to me how to scan a code ( like airplane boarding card) to my phone.

You can't scan them. You have to have the boarding card emailed to you.

Not sure that telboy means ‘scan’?
Possibly he means downloading the barcode to his phone so that he can use that instead of a printed boarding card??

You will need an app..Click on App Store and Search for a barcode scanner. Tap the search bar at the top of the App Store application, and enter “Barcode Scanner."

It may require a QR code reader, often comes with a Barcode reader in an app.
