Sorry to be a nuisance, but I am flummoxed! I am proofreading my pal's memoirs, a 150 page document, with photographs, in Microsoft Works ( .wps). I am running Word 2007. I have copied the whole document in Microsoft Works, the reasoning being that if I have a catastrophe, I still have the original. However, when I close the document and save as a Works document, when I reopen it, all the photographs have disappeared. My corrections are still there in red. Please can anyone tell me what I am doing wrong?
Very many thanks

Why not save it is a Word document and carry on from there.

Works is an old product no longer supported or sold by Microsoft so the quicker you get the document off Works the better.

So in Word just save it as a DOC or DOCX format and forget about Works.

Thanks Guilbert, but like me, my pal is in his eighties, so I want to keep it in his format if I can!
