When I'm abroad I email my wife by using my tablet and sending it to my own email address, she can then read the message on our desk top computer at home and of course I also get a copy of it on the tablet and mobile phone that I have with me.
My question is , if I was to buy a web cam for the PC at home would I be able to skype message her on the same email address as I have on my tablet ?.
Not sure about that Zab. When I use skype online for a video link I just call up a contact. I think that what you need to do is set up skype accounts for both of you and both be online at a designated time. Your email account is only required for signing in but I don't think it is instrumental in the skype online connection.
Been having a further think Zab. Am I right in, after reconsidering, thinking that you want to be able to open two online video links on the same account? i.e. 1 for you and another for Mrs Zab at the same time? In which case it gets a bit tricky. You can have two skype accounts and therefore call up yourself but it needs a bit of setting up on the desktop. I will post a couple of links that may be usefull.
Another thought......how about opening skype on your tablet and on your mobile phone in two different rooms at home and seeing if it allows 2 connections with different views. I know that you can open a skype account on two devices at the same time but I don't know if it will give multi-room function. Let us know if you succeed.
Thanks Togo for all your time and info on my question. But I think on refection and due to the fact I'm not up to date with all this modern technology, I think it's going to be easier to put my hand in my pocket and buy Mrs Zab a tablet of her own.
Thanks again Togo.
Zab why do you just not create an email account and a skype account for Mrs Zab. Then she just logs on to the desktop and opens her account to talk to you. What I would do is make another Microsoft account on the desktop and away you go without shelling out for more devices.
